TRIP Overview

The legendary Inca city of Machu Picchu is nestled up in the Peruvian Andes, hidden away and surrounded by mountains on all sides. Our 6-day trek will see you cross the Andes in search of the lost city, departing from the bustling colonial mountain-town of Cusco and winding your way through breath-taking mountain passes, past sacred mountains and through humid jungle trails to reach the fabled ruins of Machu Picchu.

After signing up, 50% of all the money you fundraise—with the help of a fundraising expert— goes right to your trip’s partnered charity. The 50%? Well that goes right towards your flights, food, accommodation and everything else in between.

FUN FACTS

The Salkantay Route was voted one of the best 25 trekking routes in the world

  • Machu Picchu was introduced into American culture after a professor from Yale University came upon the ruins himself back in 1911

  • There is a lot of mystery surrounding these ruins and It is not exactly known why the Incas abandoned the site

  • You will receive a unique stamp in your passport upon checking into the entrance of Machu Picchu
