Giving Tuesday is an international event held each year during which millions are raised for numerous causes all in one day. It is a great opportunity for anyone to achieve a large chunk of the fundraiser for the cause you’re supporting!

On summit night in particular, there were moments during which I considered the possibility of turning back before I reached Uhuru Peak but both the motivation I received from within and from my hiking family were what got me to the top.
Northeastern student, Liam Mahoney, will be traveling with the rest of his classmates to the base of the tallest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest in May 2019. They’ll be fundraising the cost of their trip in aid of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mass Bay, which for some students on this trip is a cool way to support a local charity, but for Liam it’s a much bigger purpose.
