Team Leader Training Day in NYC

Team Leaders...ASSEMBLE! π
Tuesday, August 15th, 2017 marked the Choose a Challenge USA team's first ever Team Leader Training Day event. We held this informative and interactive workshop at our HQ in Brooklyn. The program is designed to give our student leaders a crash course in what we're all about and how they can become effective leaders on our trips and beyond!
What we covered

Workshop sessions
After grabbing a quick group selfie, our staff and leaders got to work on understanding what is expected of them as a team leader, how to lead and what they get out of this whole experience. These areas included workshops on leadership development, communication, campaign promotion, and how this all can be applied to future internship/job opportunities.

Charity Partners
Each leader who attended had the opportunity to meet with the charity they'd be fundraising for. Having all of Choose a Challenge's charity partners in attendance for face-to-face meetings creates real value for our leaders because they are able to learn about the impact of their efforts and how it can make a difference in the lives of others.
