In partnership with the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, Choose a Challenge offers 20 explorers from Boston University the chance to follow in the footsteps of the early 20th Century adventurers as you cross the high Peruvian Andes in search of Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Leaving on August 9th, 2018, the trek departs from the bustling colonial mountain town of Cusco and winds its way through breathtaking mountain passes, past sacred mountains and through humid jungle trails to reach the fabled ruins of Machu Picchu.

Program Director
Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation

B+ honors the life of Andrew McDonough. Andrew battled leukemia, septic shock and complications of childhood cancer for 167 days before passing away on July 14, 2007, at the age of 14. Andrew’s B+ blood type became his family’s and friends’ motto throughout his fight against childhood cancer — to “Be Positive”. Currently we are the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the United States.
