In partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Massachusetts Bay, Choose a Challenge is offering 20 explorers from Boston College the chance to follow in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary on a journey to the foot of the tallest mountain in the world. Explorers arrive in bustling Kathmandu to explore a city like no other. Then, it's off to Lukla where the trek begins. The well-worn Everest trail winds its way through the Himalayan Mountain Range - traipsing through valleys, passing over rivers, and trekking past sacred monasteries to reach the base of Mount Everest.
But how does this work?
Here at Choose a Challenge, we have a wholly unique model which combines the best of adventure travel with the opportunity to do an amazing thing for others. 50% of your minimum fundraising target will go towards the cost of your adventure and the other 50%+ will go towards the incredible work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Massachusetts Bay. As such, our trips cost you very little.
Registration fees (you pay): $490
Fundraising target (you raise): $4,500-$5,500
Extended Return Option (you choose): +$550
Optional Extension Trip: Nepalese Safari Chitwan NAtional Park
